Vistaprint.com

UX + Design

Client: Vistaprint

Vistaprint empowers millions of people worldwide to market themselves professionally. When the company was first founded, their goal was to give small business owners access to the same high-quality, custom-printed products that bigger companies (with bigger print budgets) enjoy. Millions of customers and billions of business cards later, they’ve greatly expanded their offerings and advanced their technology, and they needed a website that reflected this.

A NEW BRAND IDENTITY

When Vistaprint reached out to Inphantry, they were in the final stages of redesigning their logo and transitioning to a cleaner, more inviting brand identity. They wanted to relaunch their website at the same time, and hired us to handle the design in an effort to better convert customers, organize an enormous collection of products, and simplify the experience of shopping at Vistaprint.com.

WEAVING IN REAL STORIES

Aside from creating a user-focused site that was easier to navigate, Vistaprint also sought to inspire anyone visiting their site. To help make this happen, our proposed design showcased customer success stories; by featuring real testimonials and results, Vistaprint could better appeal to any type of customer or business, and reinforce all the things they did better than their competitors.

The redesign gave Vistaprint.com both a cleaner UX and a friendlier, more human tone. Instead of shooting all their products on white backgrounds, they were placed in the environments they would typically be seen in. The homepage helped tell stories rather than simply display a current deal or sale. Each homepage carousel became its own story—rotating through relevant products within the website.
