Guaranteed Fit Stop

The Guaranteed Fit Stop was consistently packed, drawing long lines throughout the event and quickly becoming a destination within the F1 Miami promenade.
Fans spent meaningful time inside the experience, building vehicles, trying on looks, capturing photos, and sharing their creations. The combination of high-fidelity car customization and fashion-forward expression created a natural bridge between inspiration and confidence, reinforcing eBay’s position as a trusted destination for both parts and style.

Challenge
eBay Motors was activating their partnership with the surging McLaren F1 team at the Miami Grand Prix. The brand required a high-fidelity experience that would prove the "Guaranteed Fit" promise to a discerning crowd of petrolheads and racing fans.
Insight
Car enthusiasts put a lot of thought into customizing vehicles and express identity through them. Fit, confidence, and visual credibility matter as much as performance.
We built the Guaranteed Fit Stop Garage, a real-time vehicle customization experience that let fans design a dream car with total confidence. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, guests explored and customized curated mod bundles and experienced eBay’s Guaranteed Fit promise through hands-on creation.
Our Solution

Amidst a dominant season for eBay sponsored McLaren Racing, marked by a commanding 1-2 finish at this very race, The eBay Guaranteed Fit Simulator was the digital anchor of the "Guaranteed Fit Stop," an experiential hub situated on the promenade of the 2025 Fl Miami Grand Prix.
"Guaranteed Fit" is eBay's promise that motor parts (and apparel) will fit or your money back, a crucial assurance for anyone building a project car. Designed as a "fashion pit stop," the activation bridged the gap between car culture and high style. While fans tried on exclusive McLaren x eBay apparel, our simulator invited them to step into a virtual garage and apply that same level of customization to their dream builds, from a "Rally Racer" hatchback to a "Speed Machine" sports coupe. The activation drew awareness and excitement along with assurance to the online parts-buying experience, proving that eBay has the inventory to build any dream ride.
Background

This project played directly to INPHANTRY’s strengths. We approached it as car enthusiasts first, designers and developers second.
Our team hand-sketched vehicles, curated mod packages, and designed configurations we knew would resonate with the crowd. Every proportion, wheel choice, stance, and accessory was informed by real car culture.
We modeled and developed all vehicles and mods in Unreal Engine 5 to achieve real-time lighting, material fidelity, and responsiveness typically reserved for pre-rendered content. To ensure performance in a high-traffic, bandwidth-limited environment, we implemented an offline-first architecture paired with a QR-based takeaway system, allowing guests to access their builds seamlessly after leaving the booth.
The result was a responsive, polished experience that felt both technically advanced and culturally grounded.
