Next Project:

We designed a flexible event system built around interactive displays, tablets, and mobile devices that allowed attendees to explore global trade data, visualize economic trends, and contribute live feedback during panel discussions. The experience turned thought leadership into something audiences could actively engage with throughout the event.
Our Solution
Data does not need to be dry to be credible. When complex information is visualized clearly and paired with real-time interaction, audiences become part of the conversation rather than passive observers. Engagement creates understanding, and understanding builds trust.
Insight
HSBC needed to engage high-net-worth business owners across multiple U.S. markets while differentiating themselves from other financial institutions. The content was complex and serious by nature, but the experience needed to feel modern, engaging, and participatory rather than static or lecture-based.
Challenge

HSBC launched a U.S. event series aimed at business leaders and decision-makers in key markets, beginning in Atlanta and expanding to additional cities. Each event centered on timely global economic topics, including trade, currency markets, and the ripple effects of international policy on U.S. businesses.
The experience was designed to support both structured panel discussions and informal networking moments. From check-in through the cocktail hour and live panels, technology was used to enhance the environment without overshadowing the content or the speakers.
Background

The event was supported by a second-screen ecosystem that ran throughout the space, connecting large-format displays, tablets, and mobile devices into a single interactive layer. Custom data visualizations translated global trade routes, imports and exports, and market dynamics into clear, explorable content tailored to HSBC’s audience.
Large displays anchored the room, while mirrored experiences on iPads allowed attendees to engage with the same information at their own pace during the cocktail hour. When the panel discussions began, the system shifted into a live engagement mode, enabling real-time audience input that was visualized instantly on the main stage screens.
Behind the scenes, a custom backend aggregated responses and distributed results across multiple displays simultaneously. This allowed the conversation on stage to reflect the room in real time, turning the audience into active participants rather than passive listeners.
Development

The interactive stations acted as natural conversation starters during networking moments, while the live polling system gave attendees a voice during the panel discussions. The integration of real-time audience feedback helped the event feel collaborative rather than performative, reinforcing HSBC’s position as a connector of ideas, perspectives, and global insight.
The event series successfully demonstrated HSBC’s comfort with emerging technology while making complex economic topics more accessible, engaging, and relevant to the business leaders in attendance.
